Free tools from our kits

Some parts of our kits are useful on their own, small enough to read in one sitting, and better tested in public. These three are free under the MIT licence, each a single Python file with no dependencies.

cloudflare-free-shield

Three Cloudflare WAF custom rules, all possible on the Free plan, that stop most scraper floods at Cloudflare's edge: a challenge for scripts that copy a Chrome user agent without the headers every real Chrome sends, one for page requests from cloud networks scrapers rent, and an emergency rule for strangers with no cookie and no link, to switch on during a flood. It installs them next to your own rules, switches them, and saves every change so it can be rolled back.

bot-gate

A middleware for FastAPI, Starlette, Django, Flask or any ASGI or WSGI app that keeps your pages up for people while a scraper floods the site. It refuses fake browsers before your code runs and keeps strangers within what each worker can serve, while visitors with a cookie, visitors arriving through a link and search engines never notice it. Under 1,747 requests a second in our test, every returning visitor got their page in the page's own time.

translation-checks

Checks that catch a translation that would break your app: lost or invented placeholders and tags, a changed product name, English left in place, the wrong script, and ICU plural messages that lost their variables, in 43 languages. Use it on what a model or a translation service sent back, or in CI.

Why give parts away

Because you should be able to read our code before you buy it. The free tools are built from the same code as the kits, tested the same way, and scanned for secrets the same way before they were published. The kits add what turns a tool into a system: the watch, the automation, the setup, the runbooks and a year of updates.
